Hi, my name is Michaela-Sophie Chin and I am a Brisbane-based cook and food writer.  Dericious Food aims to provide you with easy recipes using seasonal ingredients and handy cooking tips to inspire you at home.

Born into a family of food lovers, I had no choice but to become completely food obsessed. My dad’s family are Chinese-Malaysian and my mum’s family have a strong history in amazing baking (think kick-ass Country Women’s Association style).

My aim is to make amazing food experiences accessible to everyone and to impart some of the knowledge and confidence I have gained in cooking over the years with you.

Outside of running Dericious Food, I have worked in the Arts industry with a focus on Public Engagement for over 8 years.
